The Radio Flyer® Grow with Me Racer provides endless fun with 3 stages of play: completely adult driven, child driven with adult override ability, and finally completely child driven. The remote control gives parents the ability to override the child and either direct them on a better path or stop them immediately for safety. The remote has a 80ft range, and the car is equipped with an auto shut off when outside this range. Poor Quality for the PriceThis was a birthday/Christmas gift for our daughter that we asked her uncle to get for her and it worked about a week and has given us nothing hut problems for two years. We have maybe used it 5-10 times during that time because it is so frustrating to use. Takes forever to charge, and does not hold a charge well. It currently isn’t working at all. When it was working, it was very poor. Only accelerated about 5 seconds straight and then would stop. The turn radius and functionality is horrendous, and the controls on the remote almost seem as if they are not calibrated to the racer. Stay far away from this product as it will give MANY headaches.

Difficult to ChargeThis was a Christmas gift and we love that it will grow with our boy, but charging it takes way too much effort. The battery pack connectors age too hard to detach to charge after each use as per the instructions. It takes at least 15 minutes and the use of a small flathead screwdriver for me to get it apart. That’s 14 minutes too long when you have an active toddler in tow. It’s a fun toy, but I wouldn’t have purchased had I known it would be this diff to charge.

Doesn't charge after just a few uses.This was bought last year for Christmas but only used a couple of times. Charged battery just now and it appears the battery won't charge (or hold a charge). With all the reviews of the bad charging battery, what are you doing about this defect. He was very upset when we thought it was charged and then would not work. You don't like disappointing your 2 year old grandson when he is looking forward to playing on his toy.

Don’t waste time or moneyI was very excited about this product. I bought it for my daughters birthday and made sure it was assembled and charged up for her big day. Unfortunately after the first charge it has never worked again. I have tested it on several outlets and nothing works. I followed all directions and still can’t figure out why it stopped working after that first charge. Don’t waste your time assembling or money on this product.

Better battery life than mostI was able to go around the whole hilly neighborhood with this thing 2 years in a row, my friend who has a fancy benz for her kid, it can barely make it up one hill and back and has no remote. It was great having the remote. Now at the 3rd summer of use the battery is finally getting old and not holding charge for long. What I do wish is there were an option to buy a replacement battery like the Tesla

Battery didn't work at all!I got this car as a gift from my parents and I waited for couple months to use it as my kid was too nervous to sit in it. As instructed, I charged it for 16 hours, and then tried to use it, the car came defective and didn't work at all! I tried a few times charging it again, but looks like the battery is defective. If someone is looking to buy, I would say, find something else to purchase!

Used twice battery wont hold a chargeWe bought this for my son for Christmas. He used it once, put it away and brought it out in January. Worked but had to charge it 24 hours for it to work for 30 minutes. Won’t hold a charge now that we pulled it out of our storage room. Came on here to purchase a new battery and saw the terrible reviews about the same problem. My son is so upset! Don’t waste your money

Another child very disappointed on Christmas day!My poor grandson is so disappointed when his little red car did not work. After reading so many reviews with the same problem you would think that the company would do something to correct this issue. What good does it do to see the same generic response to so many customers. Get it together and quit breaking all the little ones hearts!!
